Responsibilities
We are currently looking for a qualified Full Time Collector to join our team of dedicated Behavioral Health professionals.
The Collector maintains records in patient accounting, insurance reimbursement and billing and collection processing. They will be responsible for verifying insurance benefits on all admissions as well as potential admissions;
collections with self-pay accounts on the front and back end of a patient’s stay. The Collector uses Excel spreadsheets and must have an understanding of credit balances and insurance verification.
They are crossed trained in other areas of the Patient Accounts office and will be responsible for filling in when other Patient Accounts staff are absent.
They will also assist the Business Office Director with special projects.

Qualifications
Effective oral and written communication and guest relation skills required. Must have good organizational and computer technical skills and have the ability to set priorities.
Must have understanding of credit balances, insurance verification and other hospital business office functions.
